Properly inflated tires save gas?
I don’t recall Barack giving out Triple A advice.

well, it’s not a life-saver but it’s a start (:/)

I guess McCain already took some pot shots at it. Sad thing is that I could compile a list better then the one McCain did.
the price of tune ups on older cars is very expensive.
Newer cars don’t need regualur tune ups and can’t be done at home.
Doing it yourself is so out of practice that the best most of us can manage is keeping our engine from knocking, so it won’t actually save you any money.
Leaving you with only inflating your tires as the one easy thing you can do.
anything with the word “inflate” in it writes its own punchline at that point. Only thing is that all of the above would have involved thinking.

Of course McCain took 1.1 million dollars from big oil for his campaign just last month.
I wonder who’s interest he has in-mind.

Let’s see: Drill for the outdated, filthy resource basically on its way out one way or the other, or invest a couple hundred billion (proving we’re serious) in solar, wind, nuclear (yes, nuclear), and the various other “alternative” sources that are our future … this should be an easy decision.
Oh, and keep tires properly inflated, and other common-sense energy/money saving techniques to supplement the rest, of course.

@ReFlex-76, I had never thought of it in terms of investing in the past. I think that’s a good point. It is a bit of doublespeak, isn’t it, “Drill, but go green as well!”
