    -
    prints 4 pages, “5 Things Media Aren’t Telling You About Today’s Jobs Numbers”……Factual, provable information
    showing that THERE HAS BEEN NO RECOVERY.
    -
    Under 2% “annual growth” in the Economy is not “recovery”…
    -
    Since Obama’s policies began, Americans have lost 9 million jobs. The “new jobs” Obama/Democrats claim for 2013 are 77% Part-Time and don’t you know people who are working more than one part-time job to survive?
    -
    Obama inherited a Debt of $10.6 Trillion, January 2009.
    July 2013 the Debt is $17 Trillion and treasury stopped the Debt Clock!!! And keeps on spending deficit-borrowed money.

    When Republicans are in charge, it’s spend, spend, spend. When Democrats are in charge, it’s cut, cut, cut. Government spending has always helped an iconic recovery. Do nothing obstructionist Republicans have prevented a faster recovery. And there IS a recovery, changing the definition does not make it go away.

    @ansonia

    Ansonia, that is simply not true. In all other recoveries, we’ve spent more than we are spending now, and the stimulus has helped us out, exactly as predicted by economics. If the GOP actually cared about deficits (which they don’t), raising taxes back to Clinton-era levels would be on the table, and balancing the budget would be trivial. Even the GOP could do it.

    Ah, the Fox “news” viewer supplies the ‘truth’.

    A recovery is a recovery. Sure beats what was going on before.

    Rather than just ridicule, why don’t you show “facts” that refute what he says?

    Can you offer proof that the reason the unemployment rate dropped is NOT because the number of people who no longer even look for a job have been removed from the equation?

    How about the type of jobs? According to one source 77% of them are part time. Can you cite facts to refute that?

    Please tell us the “truth”:

    Glad to see you watch Fox News. Perhaps some of the truth will soak in.

    @ossiningaling

    I agree, Republicans spend, but you can not say that Democrats cut. Democrats spend twice as much.

    It’s time to cut government at least in half.

    @Bruce4671

    Well, I think ridicule is appropriate at times.
    DT has stated that she doesn’t read responses to her posts anyway.
    -
    Refutation? Fox “news” viewers will not accept non-Fox sources.
    -
    A WSJ article includes the graphic of job loss/growth from 2008 to early 2012 Here if you want to see it again.
    -
    Employers have always done what they can in order to avoid paying benefits, including manipulating schedules and hiring illegals.
    -
    No recovery? You really want facts that show recovery?
    -
    I have no doubts that some have quit looking for jobs because they were discouraged. But there are many patterns there, mostly unknown, people working off the books, back to school, move with parents, etc. and will work if it’s available.
    -
    Increased the debt? Oh, that’s awful, unless a Republican does it, in which case, it’s okay.
    -
    The gist of DT’s post was to express hatred for Obama and deny that any of his policies helped the country, all based on “fair and balanced” “facts” from Fox “news”.
    -
    Yeah, I think ridicule is appropriate.

    @braindead08

    I would love to see your reference…but … it just went to a 404 error.

    So how does apples to oranges work exactly? Didn’t I say that I was looking at the Labor Force Participation (LFP) rate and NOT job loss to growth ratio?

    BUT since you like the WSJ and there charts look at this article.

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323728204578514183323171670.html

    Both of our examples are contained in this article.

    So tell me, my brother, which policy are you focusing on? Which one created permanent manufacturing jobs. I know you know it.

    Maybe, it’s the on that everyone is trying their best to get out of having to comply with. From the lowly union member to the IRS official and a congressman staff including the congressman. Obamacare.

    How about the policy that the EPA puts out. You know, the one that shuts down coal mines and coal fired power plants were we get over 50% of our energy.

    Or maybe it’s the policy where he has the Justice department try a man found innocent by a jury of his peers for a “civil rights” violation when all federal investigative authorities involved said there WAS NO civil rights violations.

    None of that is Obama’s fault? None of that is at his direction? Do you think that if Obama was against any of it it would still happen?

    If a foreign nation had launched an attack on America to destroy its coal-fired plants, to shut down its coal mines, and to thwart its ability to drill for oil and natural gas, we would be at war with it.

    Don’t know if that link will work for you or not. It shows the job losses/gains from Dec ‘07 to Jan ’12. The job losses from Dec 07 till Feb 09 are awful and job losses are accelerating. When Obama’s policies, including the stimulus the job losses diminish until there is net job growth beginning in 2010. The caption said it was from MoneyGame, but I think the ultimate source is the BLS. It’s a pretty well known chart.
    -
    Again, my issue in ridiculing DT was her and other Fox “news” viewers to accept whatever they see on Fox as fact, and is the real ‘truth’.
    -
    Are you going to claim that there has been no recovery, as DT does?
    -
    Once again, the gist of DT’s post was to express hatred for Obama and deny that any of his policies helped the country. As are virtually all of the posts of Fox “news” viewers.
    -
    You raised different issues from the ones I raised. We may discuss those in another thread, but I stand by my ridicule of DT.
