The more that the story is exposed, the less it sounds like a scandal. This is a natural reaction to Citizens United. If a mom and pop small business can be audited, then why not a money laundering operation?

It’s not a “natural” reaction. It’s a “criminal” reaction. Go dems! Please go!

Proclaiming you intend to be a tax cheat IS a way to get picked out for audit or watch. But, neither right nor left “thought” should be singled out for LEGAL viewpoint alone.

Anybody who posts that this is about “proclaiming you intend to be a tax cheat” really has no idea about the facts of the case.

Its the job of the IRS to investigate political groups that claim to be for the public welfare. What they did may be unfair but it wasn’t illegal.

When the Federal Government comes to tap your phones, monitor your speech, search your house and continuously audit your life, will you then want the Tea Party to help defend your Constitutional Rights?

    I though so.

Too bad folks do not see the irony of hundreds of groups forming to push back against the over-reaching and over-sized government being held down by an over-reaching and over-sized bureaucracy.

Going by the size of the deficit, the IRS has not been aggressive enough. You want your government to do stuff for you, the money has to be raised.
