   And why have they lost power? Perhaps because they act like castrated sheep and vote the way their boss orders them to. I still think vote by secret ballot might, just might let some vote their conscience.

   1madman, I would hope that you might be right, but I have to say that the bit of college teaching I did tauhgt me that not everyone is capable of higher level understanding. Their consciences may not be smart enough to do the trick.
