It's Garfield-as you've never seen him!
Come savor the existential adventures of Jon Arbuckle in Garfield Minus Garfield. Based on the phenomenon ignited by Dan Walsh's hilarious and wildly popular webcomic (beloved by The New York Times and The
Washington Post, and hailed as "inspired" by Garfield creator Jim Davis), Garfield Minus Garfield takes everyone's favorite fat cat out of the picture, leaving us with only the lonely ennui of Jon as he's left to voice thoughts about his own existence into an empty void.

Even in the original, the shading in the background is kind of weird - looks like there is a light shining out of Jon’s head.

heh…i wouldn’t doubt it, there’s nothing between his ears so it doesn’t surprise me that he has a light coming out of his face. In one ear and right out the other…

Wow, this works both ways!! Cool

Without Garfield, we can only IMAGINE what Jon is looking at in panel 2. Priceless…

Strawberry Macadamia Nut ice cream?! It must be tasted OK-OK, tho’. I am not crazy about macadamia nut. Well, I never try to eat it anyway. I love eating my favorite vanilla ice cream with Kahlua. YUM!

you already have it jon

Ice cream? Why is anybody talking about ice cream? There’s no ice cream mentioned in today’s GMG. Perhaps you have this confused with some other, lesser cartoon…

I just want to know what Jon is looking at in the 2nd panel of the GMG. Whatever it is it caused him to need ‘alone time’.

Cat? What cat? There are no cats in GMG. Again, it must be a reference to some low-rent ripoff.

Be careful what you wish for Jon, you might get it.

He will never get it.

I think Garfield (in that “low-rent ripoff” ;) ) saw Jon’s answer coming and rubbed the availability of ice cream in his face.
I LOVE macademia nuts. But in strawberry ice cream, I’m not sure they’d work. Anybody actually try the combination?
