It probably tasted better than the diet foods.

Everything tastes good on a diet. Saw that on my “Garfield’s guide to everything”.

And just how much has Jon lost? Or did he eat a book, too?
Diets make people grouchy and judgmental.

I didn’t know you could even gain that much from eating a book.

For the most part diets don’t work. Changing eating habits does, but one must go into it slowly and change over time, not change overnight. The body’s signals will go haywire and think you’re in starvation mode and slow down the metabolism. I changed how I cooked things and over time gradually reduced the amounts, also stepped up on physical activity like walking. A little bit at a time.

A diet is a way of life, not something that one endures on and off. I’ve started eating less, but more of the important things like protein and a few carbohydrates (I have a sedate life-style).

Yes, I enjoy the occasional creamy dessert, but it’s a rarity. I am losing weight but I don’t do the excercise thing.

That’s usually my approach. Although, this time of year I get a yen for candy.

I still don’t understand why Jon would need to go on a diet. He’s not fat.
