Garfield, Odie and Jon will leave you wanting a daily dose of this beloved bunch! Garfield’s crafty talent with words and sneaky preference for practical jokes often leave his owner, Jon - and us - speechless, and always wanting more.

Go to the garfield.com strip vault dates 26 and 27 October 1981. Garfield really travelled through time.

Motto week time travel: he could be mediaeval cat today, ancient cat tomorrow, ice age cat the next day … man, I wish the writers of Garfield were awake.

Using the sleep method of time travel, it’s pretty much going to leave you to wake up just in time for tomorrow.

Watch out Garfield, you stay in there too much and it will be the day after or next week

And, remember Carl Sagan saying on Cosmos , putting time into perspective.
Compress the entire history of the Earth (3 1/2- 4 billion years) into 1 calendar year.
All of recorded history (roughly 10,000 years)
would fit into the last 1 minute of December 31st.

If Garfield could go to sleep and wake up YESTERDAY, then this strip would be interesting.

You’re wrong, Garfield. It was “today” when you went to sleep, and no matter how long you do sleep, it will always be today when you wake up.
