What a cat! A cat for all seasons. Sassy. Opinionated. This lasagna loving, mailman chasing, sarcastic cat is a classic that readers love. Garfield, Odie and Jon will leave you wanting a daily dose of this beloved bunch! Garfield’s crafty talent with words and sneaky preference for practical jokes often leave his owner, Jon - and us - speechless, and always wanting more.

“Purr-chance” maybe the spider should go see Aranasito from Gatuuro for some tips!
tbree said, 2 months ago
It got swatted because: 1) Too many legs, 2) It tried to imitate Nermal.

Why don’t you spiders just stay out of Garfield’s way? You might live longer.

Randyt8: From yesterday. Marvel Comics “Captain Marvel” had nothing to do with Shazam. He was an alien character who lived and died in another world.
You’re thinking of DC’s Captain Marvel who said “Shazam” to change between Billy Batson & the Cap. Shazam is the name of the wizard who gave him his powers and an acronym of several mythological and legendary heroes with whose powers he was endowed. (The only one I remember for sure is Zeus and I think Hercules, Atlas and Mercury are in there too.) The good Captain also had Mary Marvel (his sister) and Captain Marvel Junior, whose magic word was “Captain Marvel” and who was crippled in “real” life. When DC did a comic of this hero (after they bought the copyright from another defunct comic company) they called it “Shazam” instead of “Captain Marvel” to avoid confusion with Marvel’s character. All of these characters have been used in DC’s continuity over the years and have shown up in various publications including Superman and Batman.

Alas! That should be a Halloween swatted costume! Wait till Halloween Day comes next month.

In Garfield’s opinion, would that be more, less or equally annoying than Nermal?

Garfield is a Cat.
He knows Cats are not that tiny
He knows Cats don’t have 8 legs

Jon’s house is always infested with spiders, yet there are rarely any flies (except the one Garfield swatted the other day).
So just what do they eat? If it’s Garfield’s food, well, no wonder they get swatted.

to JanCinVV
S-Solomon - Wisdom
H-Hercules - Strength
A-Achilles - Imvunrabilty (even spell check couldn’t help)
Z-Zeus - Power (I think)
A-Atlas - Stamina
M-Mercury - Speed
Hope my memory is working.

Second post:
Spiders & snakes get a bad rep anyway.
We all know where snakes problems came from.
But the spider, I don’t know.
My sister in her youth would SCREEM a spider to death.
Ear plugs suggested.
Spiders beware.

JanCinVV, yeah you’re right it’s been years since I’ve read comic books so I simply got them confused. Thanks.
