Gomer, if you know what’s good for you, you’d better move too.

The newspaper is certainly versitile–as both a source of information and as a spider dispatcher. LOL
But what will Garfield do if the newspaper go the way of the Beta Max? Kinda tough to swat a spider with a computer!

Susan001: a computer will not be adequate, perhaps an ipod will do ??

Once Gomer’s gone too can I have the tiny camera? I collect miniatures.

M asks “Have Jon and Garfield moved to Mayberry?” Actually, it’s already well established that Jon grew up on a farm. Obviously these spiders hitched a ride after his last visit.

If Gomer were named Ernest instead, then you’d have a little tribute to Jim Varney (but in this case, Gomer/Ernest would the one squashed).
dakrebs1 said, about 1 month ago
If memory serves correctly Gomer started on The Andy Griffth
Show and then starred in his own show Gomer Pyle USMC.
Jim Varney started out in commercials featuring Ernest asking “Know what I mean, Vern?” who was always off camera.

Shazam comes from Marvel Comics, there’s a superhero called Captain Marvel who used it to become Captain Marvel when he was in his alter ego identity.
