What would’ve Garfield got him anyway? A dead sparrow or something he dug up from Mrs Feeny’s lawn perhaps?

Why do people remind others of their birthdays. If anyone found out my birthday I wouldn’t be 39 anymore
LibrarianInTraining said, 3 months ago
LewReader, my mom’s been 29 for as long as I can remember, which is a bit disturbing now that I’m 22. I’m thinking maybe I can talk her into adding another 10 years.

My husband will always say he’s celebrating the 27th anniversary of his 29th birthday and adds a year to that. In a couple years it’ll be the 29th anniversary of his 29th birthday making him 58.
As for Garfield getting Jon nothing, what does Jon expect from good old selfish Garfield?

I like to say that I’m 7 in dog years. (Sorry, Garfield.)
Put another way, my mind stayed put at 25; it’s my body that kept going “to infinity and beyond”. It’s just gone screaming downhill, Calvin and Hobbes style, past 50. :)

Surprise him another way, Garfield.

I have no problem with my age.
For the first time in my life I look pretty good compared to the rest of my age group.
Rmom said, 3 months ago
I figure there are too many people who know the truth about my age to lie, and I’d rather people think I look good for my age, than to be thinking how bad I looked.

Actually, that would be a heartfelt present from a pet, wouldn’t it? My dog used to bring home dead rabbits, leave them on the front steps and proudly lead me to them. I buried them all, but appreciated his loyalty, god rest his soul.

The family understands that my mom is always ‘seventeen’. When I turned that age myself, I asked her about how it was possible. Her answer: “We adopted you.”

Age is just mind over matter - I don’t mind and it doesn’t matter.

@Librarian in Training -
I’m ready to pray with you for you- know- who. Got any ideas on who number 3 is? (I do!)
A late follow-up after your polite golf game the other day on SOTU.

I agree with Green Engineer. What was a cat supposed to give him anyway?
About age, I’ve become a bit more sensitive about it since I turned 20. It feels like I’ve got more pressure on me now, and I don’t like it. I still feel like I’m 19 or 20 years old, when I’m really 25. Maybe I can pretend, that I’m 20 years old instead, and my next birthday will be my 21rst, even though it really will be my 26th.

I’ve known of cats leaving “surprises” in one’s shoes… Maybe Garfield will do that for Jon.
deadspider said, 3 months ago
let’s hope Garfield doesn’t leave one of those suprises.

Garfield (the comic) was introduced 19 June 1978. In the debut strip, it was just Garfield and Jon. Garfield has aged, but not physially. Have all the characters –Garfield himself included– been going to the Fountain of Youth?
As for Garfield getting Jon something, a real decent thing would have to be to really catch a mouse without antics or scams.

I don’t mind aging…..but actually losing arguments over how old I am….never figured that one out….just because I grayed early and stayed that way.
I had an Aunt who never admitted her age…she was plenty 9 to the day she died
