Garfield, bad kitty!

You’d think after all these years that Garfield would know flowers cause indigestion!

Ah, so that’s what he ate yesterday. At least John had the sense to take a picture first.

I knew the surprise couldn’t be a ring - buried in a cake. Jon should consider making some part of the house Garfield-proof so that things like this can’t happen.

Chocolate can be lethal for the kitties

good thing she’s a vet
caishuojian said, 4 months ago
good thing she knows them both well enough

Well, since Liz is Garfield’s vet, if he gets sick from the flowers, she can diagnose him right away.
Joe Allen Doty said, 4 months ago
I thought it was just dogs who weren’t supposed to eat chocolate.

It’s the thought that counts. And that’s about all that’s left…

Jon, heed the words of a woman:
Jewelry. Or something she’s really into, like a book, or something.
But candy and flowers is destined to become kitty food with ol’ Fat Cat around.

Thought he would eat it - even though it wasn’t food.

I wanna a picture of candy for my mum…to spur her diet on as a reward!!!!!

Garfield will eat anything. Our cat will not. The dog always begs evan when we say no.

My cat will eat anything. Yesterday she found an Oreo cookie and ate about half, and she ate part of a cinnamon roll. She also loves to play in the water. Go figure.

My female cat would never touch people food until after she was fixed.
I could leave a plate of food on the floor and she would do no more than sniff at it.
After she was fixed something changed and now I have to watch her.
My male cat can’t be trusted with anything, he’s even worse since being fixed.

i’m feeding my brother’s cats this weekend, but will try to avoid flowers and candy. should be easy enough.

Chocolate can be lethal for both dogs and cats.
Interestingly so are these things, acc. to a Parade magazine article I recently read:
ham, xylitol(like a sugar substitute), macadamia nuts, tea, grapes, raisins, and some other stuff I don’t remember

UH-OH! Garfield will be in biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trouble!
Melissa Tempke said, 4 months ago
Darn! I was hoping Liz’s surprise would be an Engagement Ring, not just Flowers & Candy!

looks like Jim is still learning with photoshop or clip art or whatever….what’s with Liz’s bottom lip? It’s falling off in the third panel…

I read it. :)
Hey, wait a minute: foxes are famous for despoiling grapes. How about pigs? There’s not much that pigs can’t handle; their digestive systems are very similar to man’s.
I find it hard to believe that no animal in the wild eats cacao or onions.

My cat does like tuna water. I do not have tuna with oil too much fat.
Honourbound said, 4 months ago
Lucky that there’s anything left of the flower at all!! And Jon’s learning- he took a photo of that box of chocolates before Garfield got to it. Despite the fact that he was stupid enough to buy chocolates anyway.
