What a cat! A cat for all seasons. Sassy. Opinionated. This lasagna loving, mailman chasing, sarcastic cat is a classic that readers love. Garfield, Odie and Jon will leave you wanting a daily dose of this beloved bunch! Garfield’s crafty talent with words and sneaky preference for practical jokes often leave his owner, Jon - and us - speechless, and always wanting more.

“What, so you’re saying it’s NOT okay to bring my freshly caught pigeon inside? Oh well, I’m doing it anyway.”

Garfield is very responsible, whatever goes wrong he is probably responsible.

Cats don’t own you. You ALLOW cats to own you. I own my cat and he respects me. Don’t hand me that crapola, Jimbo.

When dogs do something wrong, they look guilty - cats look as though they got the right. Much prefer dogs in this regard.

The difference between dog and cat:
A dog contemplates his owner and the good life his owner provides and concludes… “He must be a god!”
A cat contemplates the same and determines… “I must be a god.”

Is Garfield really a cat? Does he look anything like this precious darling in my avatar? Not a bit of it. He walks on his feet, never on all fours. He drinks coffee and eats chocolate which is poison for cats. He does have the attitude most cats have that it’s all about them. But whether he’s a cat or whatever he is, we love him.

“Cats don’t rent, they own.” Garfield owns everything in sight, even his own responsibility for trouble (which is more than some cats I know do).
Garfield should meet my neighbor’s cat Cinammon, whom I call the President of the Local Homeowner’s Association. She’s so obviously got one part of our street staked out, another cat’s got another part staked out (we can send Heathcliff her way)…amazing.
