Great comback line by Garfield in panel 2. In panel 3, the line should be “Suck up!”

Garfield could surely take care of the mice problem on Overboard.

mousy you better be careful or garfield could give you up to the other cats
ultramanz said, 5 months ago
Kiss-up is kinda false flattery… the mouse realised he’s at Gar’s mercy so he was trying to turn the situation ard n Gar knew it…

Yes, “Suck-Up” is now an exceptable term.

Sharp claws are sharp claws. Don’t believe me? Have you seen what Garfield can do to Jon’s couch?

We know Garfield doesn’t eat mice but maybe this particular mouse doesn’t know that!

His stomach is very obvious in this strip.

Isn’t Garfied full from the birthday “cake”?

Garfield lives in a perpetual state of hunger. He’s just lazy, hence, mice are still around. After all, he’s shown no remorse punishing spiders.

I think Garfield was born old.
I just can’t imagine him as a kitten.
green_engineer said, 5 months ago
It’s hard to imagine Garfield as a kitten because the very first strips had a really obese moody looking cat.
Hey maybe Garfield is Benjamin Button?!
LibrarianInTraining said, 5 months ago
I never thought there was any cat as fat as Garfield. Till I saw my brother’s cat. Meeko could proably outweigh old Garfield any day.
Green_engineer: It’s possible. Though I also remember Garfield being a lot fluffier in the beginning too. It seems his hair may be thinning?

Since when have mice been edible to Garfield? It would be like sushi suddenly being edible to me!

Considering the young children that read the comics, I think “kiss-up” was a much better choice.

i was thinking along similar lines, wondering if some newspapers might refuse to print “suck up” (since i’ve heard the phrase “you suck” bleeped on some TV channels).

Garfield could use Sgt. Snorkel’s dietary advice. See today’s “Beetle Bailey”.
