The middle picture with “SMACK!” is probably the most repeated one in those strips …

When the newspapers fold, and everybody gets their news online,
What is Garfield going to smack spiders with?
green_engineer said, 6 months ago
Strange, I didn’t realise the hype over the newspaper industry until I read a few comics about it today. I guess news websites won’t say much about it. I better go out and get a paper…

*NR* - He’ll use Liz’s laptop.
prasrinivara said, 6 months ago
NebulousRikalau, the newspaper doesn’t have to be current. dcguys, Liz’s laptop bag will work, or even a rolled-up printout page.

Garfield and I have soooo much in common - love of sleep. love of lasagna. love of other food. killing spiders. I almost feel like Garfield is my long-lost brother LOL

I tend to use a flyswatter or a shoe to kill spiders.

Well, I catch the spider in a jar and take him outside and release him in the grass. Not only am I a nice guy and lover of nature, but I don’t have to clean spider goo off the table.

I bet this is a template and Jim Davis just pulls it out of the files and fills new dialog into the thought balloons a few times a year. Does anyone have the patience to dig through the archives to test this theory? (Not I.)
