What a cat! A cat for all seasons. Sassy. Opinionated. This lasagna loving, mailman chasing, sarcastic cat is a classic that readers love. Garfield, Odie and Jon will leave you wanting a daily dose of this beloved bunch! Garfield’s crafty talent with words and sneaky preference for practical jokes often leave his owner, Jon - and us - speechless, and always wanting more.

I recall a member of The Claws once called Garfield ‘Lardball’ in “Garfield On The Town”. He needs another leveling experience like that.

Two things wrong with this strip: Garfield’s smiling on a Monday and he did not eat the fat fish!
Anyhow, he should take up swimming, think of all the fish he’d catch!

Out-talking a fish is no real accomplishment.

green_engineer, maybe Garfield is smiling because not eating the fish is counter-instinctual–ergo, it cancels out the Monday!

Fish wishes it could jump out of the bowl and bite Garfield but it can’t. That has to be very frustrating.

SchmoozeMinkey: Nice avatar. I haven’t seen Meowrice for a long time. Seen Jean-Tom or Mewsette lately?

If the fish in the bowl cannot speak at Garfield, the fish should squirt the water out of it’s mouth at Garfield!
