I’ve seen Internet wars between Yelp reviewers and irate restaurant owners that pretty much looked exactly like this.

There was a sand storm on the ocean.
Not a street-car was in sight.
The conductor climbed a telegraph pole
and it rained all day that night.

Hey, guy on the left, what you need is a good zebra repellant. I’ve developed Zebra-B-Gone®, guaranteed 100% effective in keeping these pesky critters away. Not once in 28 years here in Japan has a zebra bothered us. It’s also proof against aardvarks, fruit bats, anacondas, wombats, elephant seals, pangolins…

I yodel regularly (in my car, where no one can hear me) – I bought “U2 can Yodel” from my good friend Kerry Christensen, whom I knew in Austria, and spent years learning how to do it. I don’t have the pipes so it sounds pretty wretched, but I enjoy it, and that’s all that counts. As for that other thing, I haven’t been asked to do that since I was a camper in the 60’s (daily health check, you know).

One other thing: I stand with Flight Suit. Those who think that the oppression of women and minorities is a baseless, liberal conspiracy are deluding themselves. There is no question that progress has been made over the last century, but racism, sexism, human trafficking and exploitation are very much alive in our society, and we must not cease to fight them.

Progress will ironically lead you back to where you began. The vile nature of humanity may be balanced by its higher virtues, but they will never be eliminated, no matter how you chart or graph them.

I just love to watch two OCD prigs have at each other! It’s more fun than the art school spitting match when I was of single-digit age….

As a librarian, it literally pains me to see the books stacked that way. I need therapy.

My mom grew up in Bavaria. Whenever she wanted my sister and I to come home for whatever reason she would stand on the front porch and yodel.

Everyone in the neighborhood then knew that Johnny and Diane were wanted at home.

As one who owns and cares for many books, I share your pain. You don’t need therapy. That picture shows a need for better shelves.

The blog: Heinz writes that his division’s coming home! Psst…the enemy is listening too.—- The Nazi version of “Loose lips sink ships”, if I’ve got that right.
