"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

Yes. It ended in 2014, billions of years ago. This is just a dream and cannot harm you.

Gee – nobody’s gibbering about disasters in ’13 yet. Wait for it. All those who were disappointed in the failure of the “Misinterpreting the Mayan Calendar” apocalypse will need a new disaster to wear tinfoil hats for.

As a matter of fact, it is. To be precise, it is two lines over “yet.”

How about this: 2013 is slated to be a solar maximum. This could well mean Earth’s being nailed by a coronal mass ejection. BZZZT

2012 for me ended with a rotten cold. 2013 started with the same wretched cold.

The next big thing will be the comet of November 2013. It might have the brightness of the full moon. If it turns Hopi blue or can be seen at day as a second sun then we might have trouble here in River City.
