"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

Critics! He offhandedly dismissed the painting by complimenting the frame, then he tried to make his “criticism” sound polite.

Gentlemen! Really! If you can’t discuss the art without resorting to threats of fisticuffs, I’m afraid we shall have to ask you leave the premises!

The local habitat thrift store sells paint that was blended from partial cans of paint to make whole cans. It looks just like that color.

The perspective in that painting is way off. Don’t care for the subject matter either.

I actually don’t like the frame. Simplicity is the key to beauty. The frame is overpowering. That being said, I’d like to see a nice green stripe down that thing.
