"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

Yes, to be sure, life is more than just winning. It also includes half–dressed babes…. Let’s hear it for pellagra!

The Roanoke Colony called—is that Virginia Dare? and are those tan lines?

..this just goes to show you that if you put a half naked babe by something it will be more acceptable and even liked…

I’m in favor of nudity in certain cases, like this one.

Pellagra. Reminds me of a Lenny Bruce routine in which he was lamenting that he never got cool sounding diseases like pellagra, but just poor and Jewish sounding diseases like bronchitis.

Good one, plight. Let’s all get nixtamalized!

I learned something today, but it brings up another question:
Can I go on eating my nightly three quarts of popcorn as is, or should I add lime with the butter?
Better yet, maybe I can just squeeze a key lime in my beer.
