"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

It costs a small fortune to go to the movies, so I agree. People who walk around, chat, and eat like goats ruin the experience.

When I’m at the movies, I always get the hot-buttered goat balls from the concession.

Tee: The ‘butt’ is actually the shoulder. That’s what you use to make pulled pork.

That is exactly why I have not been to a movie theater in years.

And that is why I never participate in the experience anymore. Waiting for it to be released is far better than the hassles of the public venue. With the demise of the “Drive-in”, the movie experience turned to the worst.

it’s funny how some countries have dvd copies of new movies before the movie premiers in the u.s.

Interesting- you and Jeff Kay do almost the same bit within a week of each other. Is this abridged from some other source, and I’m just so pop-culture retarded I just don’t recognize it?

The comics main page pop-ups really suck !

It would be a sad day for Hollywood when people stop watching the movie & start watching the audience instead.

We use Netflix for most movies except for the “biggieis” like Harry Potter, Transformers - whatever hubby picks.

Spam is mined near a small town in central Minnesota.

I do the same thing FarLeftSide - except I’ll mix it up occasionally and do a late Monday or late Wednesday. Ah, feels like your own private movie theatre!
