"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

First he loses his watch, then he loses his arms. Hopefully, the next thing you lose will be that tie.

What just happened here?

Read it again. If you don’t get it after the second time around, you never will.

Yo, Irope, if you can’t explain it to me, don’t bother to answer. Anyone else care to try? Someone helpful, that is?

I believe “hangman” comes to mind.

I don’t get it either but it is apparent that this isn’t timeless humor

It’s just like a 24 hours episode. Jack is confronted by a person from his past, time is running out and he realizes he is unarmed…

Pschearer, you need to be of a certain perceptiveness level to read this comic successfully. Cleokaya’s remark should’ve given it to you. Since you couldn’t even parse that, may I suggest you stick to Family Circus?
