"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

It’s only a problem when you forget the difference between a chimichanga and a chihuahua.

I agree with pschearer’s observation, but I’m with cleokaya on this one. And don;t forget the fresh chips and con queso!

alas, the pressure of standing in line at the taco bell, staring up at the menu, with a line of people behind you and an impatient taco person waiting for your order…

In Mexico, except the extreme northern part, they wouldn’t know them either. Burrito is a little burro. A little tougher than horse meat.

When I was in Acapulco (years ago) one of my friends saw a vending stand that said it sold tacos. He ordered one, and got a hot dog.
