My ears are always open to you, Teresa.

“My WREATH cannot be defused” is also funny. And seasonal.

I have an imaginary set of earrings.
Right one says in, left one says out.
So You can complain as much as You like.

Glad to help! (where can I get a pair of those earrings, by the way?)

Speaking of earrings, a song I love by (the Dutch band) Golden Earring:

(*the audio on this video doesn’t do the song justice).

Thanks for “The Twilight Zone” Terry. I’ve always liked that one better than “Radar Love” Didn’t know they were Dutch. Focus was Dutch also. Sorry I’m not able to provide a link to “Hocus Pocus” if one exists. (and not the remake)

My whole life… I’ve never been called Terry by anyone. Ever. I don’t like it; I prefer Teresa. I feel better now. Thanks for listening.

A school-teacher friend of mine tells me that children in her school are not allowed to say things like “I hate broccoli” because they have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech. Poor kids. Pathetic school admin.

Glad we could all help, Treese.

What a coincidence! I’ve never been called Terry either.

Being taught to supress one’s anger is not healthy. Broccoli doesn’t deserve to be hated… but that school policy does.

What’s this ‘when you let me express my anger’? You don’t need my permission. Ever. Honey chile.

Let me guess. That school policy is the Stepford Child Policy.

Runar hasn’t been around for quite a while. I’m a bit concerned about him.

I didn’t know that Golden Earring was a Dutch band. I love ‘Radar Love’, an excellent driving song. I like ‘Twilight Zone’, too. One of my favorite videos is ‘Thunderstruck’ by AC/DC, with Chris Slade on the drums. He’s so into what he’s playing.

My daughter’s whole family plays Guitar Hero. They would love this. (But I think their drums broke. Oh, well…)

    I’m thunderstruck !

Dear Miss, Mrs or Mz Dowlatshahi. I wasn’t being funny or trying to convey disrespect by the appellation “Terry”. It’s just that Theresa sounds rather formal like calling someone by “Kimberly” when most folks address the person simply as Kim or Kimmy. The formal usually being applied by teachers, or parental units when they mean business. I take the informal atmosphere here as dropping our guard (even somewhat) as a way of being able to express some degree of… casual. I’m a Gordon and people, primarily in western New York where I’m from say Gordy, and that works just fine. If I knew the non formal of Teresa I would use that. With apology: Gordy :-)

Where’s runar? I hope he’s alright. UncaAlby let people know that he would be gone awhile. If anyone is “following” runar, is he still on your list?

I shouldn’t speak for Tess, Gweedo, but my impression was that her reply was just keeping in spirit with today’s strip. On the other hand, I thought if a second person (I) took liberties with here name; while it wouldn’t defuse her wrath, it might at least diffuse it. Anyway, if you’re in the doghouse, I’m in there doubly. :-(

Not at all. My daughter and her husband play it along with the three boys. I tried it once. Made the crowd boo and the lead singer cry in anguish.

Gweedo: You are not in the doghouse with me. At least not yet, baby! My comment was all in good fun… and, like Ray said, “keeping in spirit with today’s strip”. I actually prefer Teresa, but I certainly don’t mind nicknames, especially creative ones. Just have fun! Sorry for the misunderstanding! All is good in the FA neighborhood.
