"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

So, in effect, you’re saying comics are pulled out of the creator’s posterior?
Example:
Adoring Comic Fan - “Hey, cool comic, I totally dug that far-out groovy pun. How’d you come up with it?”
Noble and Lordly Comic Artist - “I pulled it outta my ass!”

This is funny…while Googling the offical term for the dimple above the butt that the arrow is pointing to,I came to the term:’Butt Pirate’…it is defined as…Slang - Someone who pillages another’s booty

Geez. I step away for a few days… and almost miss the fun. Doughnut flashbacks? Butt dimples? Butt pirates? Creators pulling puns outta’ their posteriors? It’s nice to know that some things never change, like the unpredictability of this strip.
