Liz and Sam have it all: a happy marriage, a precocious preteen son named Nate, and a house that's just the right size for the three of them. Then, Liz's parents move in. Grandpa Irv is a kindly but occasionally grumpy Korean War vet who loves watching TV, bickering over politics, and spoiling his grandson. His wife Sarah is equally strong-willed, whether urging Irv to diet, questioning her daughter's parenting choices, or finding surprising success as an advice blogger.
With an estimated 50+ million Americans living in such families as of today, Freshly Squeezed is a refreshing look at newfound family togetherness after the economic collapse. Can three generations of one family share their lives, their feelings, their dwindling fortunes and a bathroom — and keep their sense of humor in the process? Pay a visit to the Freshly Squeezed family to find out! Freshly Squeezed is the brainchild of Ed Stein, an award-winning political cartoonist. He created the local comic strip, Denver Square, for the Denver Rocky Mountain News for 12 years. He lived the Freshly Squeezed life first-hand when his kids were little and his 80-year-old father moved to Denver.

If only people in Middle America would wake up (wake up white people) and vote their bank statement not what they would wish it to be or what their preacher tells them to vote

Neither party is right in what they want. We the people are being driven on a quick path to ruin.

Am afraid we are at the end of that path….

She does? You do boyo. The rich own most of us and pay a pittance or none at all in taxes. Why do you think we have deficits and debt?

You need to do a fact check on yourself.

Face it, we can go right, or we can go left, but either path is going right off the cliff. Anyone who thinks he can fix what’s wrong without a lot of hurt is delusional…

This why I am an advocate to moving the date for paying our taxes to October 31. If we could be made aware of how much of our income is collected just before national election day,we might just get more responsible peole elected to national office.

501© tax status prohibits pastors from telling people how to vote. You can thank the fascist Lyndon Johnson for that abrigation of the first ammendment.

maybe we have deficit and debt because we borrow 40 cents of every dollar we spend and we haven’t had a budget since april 24 of 2009, about three months after Obama took office.
And that isn’t because the republicans are blocking anything. They sent six budgets from the house to the senate since they took over in 2011. Harry Reid has refused to allow a vote on any budget.
We don’t have a tax problem, we have a spending problem. And we will continue to do so until we spend less than we take in. THAT is how you lower the debt.

Both parties need change. Democrats tend to ignore the financial costs, while Republicans ignore the social costs. If I have to pick one I choose the side where people aren’t cast aside to die.

@CDK
You need to point it out yourself and list it.

The budgets the Cons offer would destroy SS and the rest of it and give massive more tax breaks to the wealthy so we would be in deeper hock than we already are with the rest of us being made to pay for the slack. So why would you want them to pass?
Night-Gaunt49 said, 7 months ago
@Molon Labe
Having full well paid for employment is a way to balance the budget. That and stop having unfunded mandates and wars off the books. You never balance the budget during a Depression.
