I know here in the USA, you won’t get your mail if your dog chases or bites the postal carrier. Plus you could get sued if the dog does bite the carrier and probably end up losing the dog itself.
We know as much about you as we wish to know. We’re better, smarter, healthier, richer, more successful, and more civilized than you. We look and smell better than you. You know nothing about Americans.
Surprisingly, that is actually true. I discovered there are a dozen accents up here instead of the three I always thought. I am told I sound midwestern but others speak with such thickness I can’t figure out what they are saying. So you have a point.
Spoken like a true “ugly American”. Considering the level of esteem we are held in the world, you are certainly not “better” than us. Smarter? Some of you in certain areas, as with all countries.Generally? Our educational system and test scores would indicate otherwise. Richer? Yes you are. And you have WAY more poverty thanks to Rethuglican policies. More civilized? Not by a long shot. (How are those aggressive wars going?) The last one is a bizarre faux-patriotic drumbeating unworthy of consideration. We know FAR more about Americans than you do about us.
Any reader who has ever been a "dog’s best friend" will recognize and love Fred. Fred is a wry and witty observer of life, finding funnybones and turning up smiles on three continents.

Except of course yesterday was Veteran’s Day. Not everywhere has the holiday on Monday so the government can take an extra day off.,
