My week starts on Sunday so I still have a 4 day week. And some of my co-workers will be here Thursday and Friday.

I work a nearly-full-time job for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Instead of three 6-hour days and two 7-hour days to reach my maximum of 32 hours, I am scheduled for four 8-hour days this week. Thanksgiving isn’t a paid holiday for me – just an unpaid day off.

used to work in a deli dept. of a grocery store. Worked till 2pSmeered up the whole slicer I had just washed down. Who needs liverwurst m Thanksgiving. One year someone came in at 1:55 and ordered 1/2lb of liverwurst. Really???

I’ve got the whole week off as the school district is closed. Yippppeeeee!
Now if only I didn’t have to take my practical final tomorrow and study for the online final on Sunday for the Audiometry course I’m taking. Sigh……

Caufield just may have mediocre grades, even if he makes “A” on every one he does do. For the very smart who are bored that could easily happen and does more often then it should.

I think that Frazz is suggesting that Principal Spaetzel is definetly NOT harsh, but he is clueless. I feel rather sad about Frazz suggesting that. I think Principal Spaetzel is wonderful, gentle character, and to have Frazz suggest he is “clueless” just makes me not particularly like Frazz today. People do not have to be “ultra current” or “aligned with every thought and trend of the moment” to be knowledgeable.

And in regard to the life of a teacher or principal or a professor…. the work really does not stop over most holidays like Thanksgiving… it merely shifts into a different form… and so, if anyone is “clueless” it may be the other three who are not Principal Spaetzel.

Agreed. So many principals don’t care about the kids, Principal Spaetzel is special. Especially with that German name! Though it does mean noodle….
