That is what kids really talk about. Now I wish I had the italics font

Ten short years? What kid ever said something like that. At that age one year is like ten. I don’t know a lot of young kids, but they think credit cards are more like magic than danger.

Never mind the Credit Cards, it’s the College Student Loans that will destroy their Budgets for DECADES!

The school just doesn’t want to get sued because of an ACCIDENT. If you get hurt or injured, no matter how minor or even if it’s your fault, SUE Somebody.

No, let him believe that. I’m fine with him not reproducing… :-)

I let my daughter play a racing video game. I’m never going to let her drive.

I’m surprised no one has called you an idiot, and pointed out that these people “aren’t real”. (And then there’s that chestnut, “Um, you are aware that this is a comic strip, right?”)

I don’t demand realism, but I think that much of what Mallett does with his preternaturally brilliant kids undercuts the effectiveness of the story-telling. It’s a cheap device, artificial, to have them say things they wouldn’t say in a million years. Humor that comes from truth is better, not to mention funnier. JUST MY OPINION.

You must hate “Calvin & Hobbes” then. I mean, Calvin was six and Watterson had him spouting dialogue that makes the dialogue here seem like… well, schoolyard chatter.

Wait until you can get a gun! Depending on the state you live in, you may be old enough now!

Fiskars brand children’s scissors are as sharp as the full-size version, just without the pointed tips.

It’s called artistic license. Google it. To see another example, read today’s Drabble. Do dogs really know about smoke alarms?

I never read that strip when it was up and running, but have seen it since. It doesn’t bother me because it’s fanciful altogether.

With “Frazz”, it’s the lack of consistency that does the damage. Sometimes the kids act like kids and at other times they don’t. Mallett has Mrs. Olsen, too, occasionally saying “unmotivated” things. They sound false, forced.

Now, the reverse case is worse, but this is not a forum for “Family Circus”.

I still think there should be a program for planned parenthood that allows people considering children to first rent a kid for a week with no external help from others in money, upkeep, or parenting skills… this organization would be called RAK’em, for Rent-a-Kid! At’ll learn ’em!
