    Just because the sugar’s crunchy, doesn’t mean it has calcium in it.

    The Frazz comic continues to constantly rip on fat people, as if that were some moral high ground.

    Just take some fiber to neutralize that cholesterol, then you’ll be good to go!

    All those refined carbs and especially sugar can’t be good for here health, particularly since that fats are undoubtedly low quality bird seed oils.

    Caufield would have made more sense if he said she was watching her calories instead of cholesterol. Cholesterol comes from animals: donuts are derived from plants-mostly.
    (I know, I know, they have eggs but not much. Also, not telling what’s in the filling.)

    I made donuts for the Jaycees every Saturday for fifteen years. After every 200 donuts, we had to add another gallon of oil.
    Wonder where it went?

    That’s 1.28 tablespoons of oil in each donut. That doesn’t sound reasonable.

    @neatslob

    Your math is correct. I’ll correct that to 24 dozen for the actual count; but that’s still a tablespoon per donut. What can I say?

    If that sound a lot to you, don’t ever measure the amount of oil that a slice of eggplant can absorb.

    I had to subsist on donuts as a kid and let me tell you they have no energy value whatsoever. I stopped at Dunkin’ Donuts before work as a caddy and after the sugar high wore off I was dragging butt. All the other caddies got nutritious breakfasts. Dr. Oz had something about this a couple of days ago. He explained that the person eating donuts has to keep eating them throughout the day or they will crash.
