The regular normal is odd enough for me.

And you gotta be clear the level of experience of the intelligence you’re talking with. Some references won’t relate…they’re not there. Yet.

Nice reminder why the Oddeysey is so compelling…it is natural to want to go home. Mostly there’s no there there.

    1,3, 5, 7, 9, 11, etc. are regular and still odd.

Huh?  7 and 11 are not regular!

That’s a really BAD pun, there. But Frazz is really correct, on a deep literary level: The Odyssey was a story about Ulysses’ voyage home.

Cyclopes aren’t human so they aren’t cannibals if they eat humans.

Yes the “Odyssey” was fantastic. 30 years away from home. 10 years fighting Troy and 20 to get back home.

The child simply didn’t understand and thought it was a variation of odd. Nice pun there.

Sometimes you have to work on levels that don’t work at present. If people didn’t talk to infants before they could answer, they would never learn to speak.
You have to challenge people/yourself all your life to develop. Frazz is a great teacher…

Muchos thankyous for the link. It took me, ever so briefly, back to one of my math classrooms.

That reminds me, that book is on my dad’s table ready to be read by someone.

My first experience with Cyclops was in “The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad.” Didn’t bother me in the least. The skeleton swordsmen OTOH were bigtime scary. I guess it all came down to what would fit through my bedroom door!
