I’d rather have a real fence so the other dogs and their poop stay out of my yard.

A crow took my dogs for a long walk yesterday. It was windy in the high desert and the crow lured them to chase by flying low then going up when they came close. My thought as they disappeared into the desert was ‘total idiots’.

If everyone was required to have an invisible fence that would take care of your problem and think of all the jobs and manufacturing facilities it would create. The government could provide the money to build, buy and install them. (and add it to your tax bill, even if you own a cat and not a dog).

Thing is those invisible fences don’t keep strays out that would like to pick a fight with your dog. They aren’t going to be wearing the collar that activates it. Plus, if you have a dog that likes to chase after cars, cats, or whatever, invisible fencing won’t stop him. Real fences are a better deal than invisible fencing. Keeps your dog contained and everybody else out; except cats and squirrels.

Invisible fences do not always work. I know people that have dogs that will go through it anyway. And like others have stated, these fences do not keep other animals out.
