Frank and Ernest, created by Bob Thaves, chronicles the antics of two "everyman" characters who are anything but ordinary! They appear in different settings, time periods - even manifest as things and creatures other than people. The variety in the strip extends to their observations about a wide number of subjects.

So true, the new video games are so addictive. People end up living in fantasy worlds like WOW and such. Time and life disappears and they are left with nothing but a mind burned with high end graphic images. Then they complain real scenes are not vivid enough. Sad.

My latest addiction has become reading these comics and associated (or disassociated, as the case may be) comments. Where else can one find such a delightful, sometimes informative and often disturbing potpourri of wit, wisdom, humor, knowledge, vitriol, bigotry, prejudice, ignorance, stupidity, community, advice, referral and occasional epiphany?

My inner child is connected to the period of my actual childhood — pre-video games!
