Frank and Ernest, created by Bob Thaves, chronicles the antics of two "everyman" characters who are anything but ordinary! They appear in different settings, time periods - even manifest as things and creatures other than people. The variety in the strip extends to their observations about a wide number of subjects.

Oh..Oh…they are all looking at you…there’s gonna be trouble. I’m thinking one of them knows how to talk and will get the others to join him and run away and take over the world… It could be a movie..what should we call it…

Pinky: Gee, Brain. What are we going to do tonight?
The Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world.

I’d rather be a horse whisperer. For Halloween I’d even settle for ghost whisperer.

@Jo Clear Ben, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With a friend to call my own I’ll never be alone
And you my friend will see you’ve got a friend in me…

I resemble that pun. Monasticism is a way to change rats (and other sinners) into good habits. . . .

Willard? Rats, ok then, Ben. Oh wait, that was a Michael Jackson Tune. Ok, whatever we call it, it is surely to be a cult classic.

Yeah, Willard actually. But I don’t remember Willard’s theme. Was it even a song?
I believe the remake of Willard that they made a few years ago used Ben as the theme, for obvious reasons.

Willard just sent me out laughing
I thought Ben looked a little bit ratty
But they’re not half as bad
As the worst scare I’ve had
“The Cockroach That Ate Cincinnati”
Oh my heart nearly stopped
He will never be topped
The cockroach that ate Cincinnati… OLÉ!
