   The court has a long history of breaking the law. One of the scarier ones for private property was Babbit vs. Sweethome.

   We REALLY should dust off the impeachment process! The founders put it in the Constitution so it could be USED, not “off the table” to use Pelosi’s words!

   For example count the words concerning the President! There are more words in the Constitution describing how to select and get rid of the President than there are saying what his duties as President are!!!

   Keeping the nation healthy promotes the nation’s general welfare.

   Saves money on Medicare/Medicaid. Also, the more people on the rolls of an insurance company, the cheaper the rates go (provided insurance companies start to play fair).

    I think the key is “welfare”. Provide a large voting block something at someone else’s expense and assure that they will vote for you next time around. Obama in a nutshell.

    Only if it works the way that its backers say that it will. And I for one do not have any confidence whatsoever in the U.S. government’s ability to do so.

    I’ve got a news bulletin for you: the mess we are in is just as much the fault of the Democrats as it is the Republicans. Or perhaps you’ve forgotten just who exactly decided that people who could not afford to buy a house still had the “right” to do so, and used every trick in the book to make certain that happened. Carter signed the legislation into law, while Clinton started enforcing it, while Frank and Dodd flatly refused to allow any oversight on either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac and insisted that nothing bad was going to happen. So don’t give me that “Bush did this” garbage. And Obama has not done any better than Bush did, for that matter.

    Seems the Chief Justice used this idea to decide Obamacare. Hopefully under a new President he will be impeached.
