If you use a Korean counting system called Chisanbop, you can count to 99 on your fingers.
Your left fingers are 10’s, your left thumb is 50, your right fingers are 1’s and your right thumb is 5.
I’ve been using that counting system since I was a kid when I saw ads to teach that system on TV.

See “Yan Tan Tethera” in Wikipedia to count up to 399 on your fingers.

Auburn Stadium: When I first saw it demonstrated on TV (Carson, I think), ten seconds in, I saw abacus – everything is reduced four or less, which can be calculated in one’s head, and the fingers/beads are just a recording system.
