Frank and Ernest, created by Bob Thaves, chronicles the antics of two "everyman" characters who are anything but ordinary! They appear in different settings, time periods - even manifest as things and creatures other than people. The variety in the strip extends to their observations about a wide number of subjects.

At age 72 I was in the Beijeng (sp?) Olympics. Track & Field I was on the 100 meter limp, stumble & fall. On the swim/diving team I was on the high board – the 20 meter flop-and-drop.

M-Man, you could also muddle in the 3,000-meter staple chase, the east European Pole vault, and perhaps set a personnel best in the discuss.

Hmmm. I might make the team on the Javelin catch.

I do like that first panel, with M-man’s motto. It’s really absurd and inane!
