Frank and Ernest, created by Bob Thaves, chronicles the antics of two "everyman" characters who are anything but ordinary! They appear in different settings, time periods - even manifest as things and creatures other than people. The variety in the strip extends to their observations about a wide number of subjects.

Those men wouldn’t be in Washington if they didn’t know what they were doing. You get what you asked for.

I remember the time when most insurance companies gave refunds. That was before it became big business,
dsom8 said, over 2 years ago
Not so much the “big business,” Justice22, but the government intervention. When you have a bottomless well to dip into, it greatly increases the incentive. Same reason higher education costs increase faster than the general inflation rate.

Obama health care.

While insurance must be registered to do business within a state, It is largely unregulated (as of now) as to how much their profit margin can be, who they can insure, and under what circumstance they can drop an insured.) After my doctor obtained permission to hospitalize me for 3 days (asked for 5) I received a letter saying they may not pay according to the outcome of tests. (I “flatlined on the cath slab. The doctor was unable to properly prepare me for my tests. She charged $25 and insurance said she charged too much, only approved $20.)

Right, like the Obama care that doesn’t even exist yet causes premiums to go up. How many of you tried out for the Stooges movie auditions?

By the way, they owned most of the banks that were bailed out, they phony insured through derivatives the mortgage investments that failed, all because the got a special anti-trust exemption. Anyone defending them should also defend welfare cheats, tax evaders and felons.

See, that’s why we need President Obama’s Health care Reform.

Since tax evaders, felons and cheats are in charge now, granting favors to the insurance companies comes under the heading of professional courtesy.

How can the Republicans hold up anything since the dems have an unbeatable majority in both houses, and don’t need a single opposition vote to pass anything?
Lewreader said, over 2 years ago
FREDBUHL Shh! You’ll upset the liberals with the truth. Don’t let on that it’s been this way since 2006. They’d rather blame Bush. Don’t even mention that no President in history passed a law. Get them confused.
