The whole thing seems fishy to me. At least we know it’s not a catfish.

Here in NE Oklahoma, we pronounce the name of “crappie” as it were spelled “croppy.”

When I was a senior in high school, the drama teacher gave some of us a ride home after school when we had tried out for play parts. Those of us in his car usually rode the school bus home.

When he was taking me home, one of the girls asking why he was going that way.

    He replied, “For the fish.”

She asked what he meant and he said, “For the halibut.”
