Frank and Ernest, created by Bob Thaves, chronicles the antics of two "everyman" characters who are anything but ordinary! The “letter sweater” is sort of a reference to the letter sweaters athletes used to get when they excelled in high school and college sports.
Frank and Ernest are “everyman” types. That’s why they have different occupations so often.
