Frank and Ernest, created by Bob Thaves, chronicles the antics of two "everyman" characters who are anything but ordinary! They appear in different settings, time periods - even manifest as things and creatures other than people. The variety in the strip extends to their observations about a wide number of subjects.

A sad reflection on the very times we live in …. and I thought cartoons were supposed to be funny. This one is a little too close for the comfort of many people out there all over the world.

A song titled, “Deja me reir para no llorar” from Ruben Blades Maestra Vida album covers it. The song translates to, “Let me laugh so I won’t cry”.
