Unfortunately, too many people misspell “dessert” as “desert.” When they do, I ask, “Sahara or Mojave?”

We went from wet and 60s to 94 two days ago. summer is finally here, but the usual sunny weather is almost 2 months late. Used to warm up in may before 2007.

This joke’s been recycled from 1986 – yes, I clipped and saved it, since I was a proofreader at the time. The price of desert has gone up – it was 95 cents then.

Thanks so much. Each of your strips help me think better and more clearly, and certainly give me a nice clean laugh. Thanks, again.

I think June is the ickiest month in SoCal—overcast in the morning, hot in the afternoon, cold at night. I may be sizzling at 104 degrees in Altadena, but I welcome early July! At least it’s consistent….
