My one and only reunion was 16 yrs after graduation…I never saw so many graying as well as bald guys…Can’t tell if the ladies are grey, there’s always the beauty shop…People kept telling me I hadn’t changed a bit…But no beauty shop for me, I didn’t get my grey for a few years yet…

Our graduation class reunion was 40 years after … there was a fire at the school and all the records were lost so they had big trouble tracking us down …

I’ve never been to a high school reunion — that would have been dishonest: it would have implied that I could stand the sight of the place, or ever enjoyed the years there. But next year is my 50-year reunion…I might go just for grins.

I’ve never been to a reunion either. i figure too many things in the present and future to worry about, why dwell on the past?

Reunions, as far as I’m concerned, can be summed up in the song Glory Days. It’s like admitting your best years are behind you.

Went to my 50th reunion two years ago. There were more then afew greying “seniors” including yours truly !
Could not get over that some guys ’n gals really did not look too much different from school.

Oh, yes. 50 is coming up soon. I’ve only been to two over the years, but plan to be at this one.

I heard of one guy who went to his 50th reunion, looked into the room, and headed home. As he said, “Those guys are not my classmates—they’re all OLD!”

They all aged a lot since school.

Or “Like a Rock”. I can’t listen to that song without becoming mildly suicidal.

Coming up on 50th also, I always looked upon a reunion (This would be the 3rd one) as a series of 5 minute conversations like as if you ran into an old classmate on the street and “caught up”. You are unlikely to “reconnect” to anyone, the few people that you kept in contact with will remain the same.

I heard reunions still have those cliques just like they did in high school. If you’re not some bigshot, they all snub you.

Truly, age and recessions are a great equalizer.

That had to be a shock huh ? I mean, leaving all of those fresh kid faces and then returning 40 years later…
