    My hubby’s 52, and when he was in high school, he got himself a perm, and it morphed into an afro.
    
    Imagine, if you will, 1976, North Alabama, Ardmore to be exact. It’s half in Alabama, half in Tennessee.
    
    My husband was skinny, pale white, had big ears and big ol’ glasses and had a blond ’fro waving to and fro (as it were) as he strolled down the hall.
    
    And nobody bothered to take a picture so I could see it!
