Today’s ‘music’ for teens is NOT music.

@ Ghost01
That is exactly what my parents said, 50 years ago. Their parents probably said the same thing about jazz, or whatever was current.

I’m a Dj (music for weddings and things) and I find myself sounding like my dad more and more every day. Some of the stuff I have to play now days is the worst music I have ever heard but the partygoers go crazy for it. Go figure.

I’ve quit listening to “music” for the most part. The 50s and 60s youth stuff, well, most of them couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket. After 1967 or so, it got so BAD………..

Oh, please — 1985 was the year the music died!

Short life spans and generation rifts that happen. What you are use to your parents hated, what the kids of today are interested in you hate, or at least consider garbage. It will happen with them too eventually.
