what do you think about houses who don’t give out candy? they give out toothbrushes, a roll of pennies, etc…

Worst one my kids ever got was refrigerator magnet pushing the guy giving them out for State Congress. Obviously, I voted differently on principle.

I don’t get how Jason can speak so clearly with a mouth full of candy. i would bet his dentist has a hard time understanding him.
Reminds me of when we went to a fast food drive-thru, I placed my order, guy asked me to repeat, placed it again, speaking more clearly, he still couldn’t understand, then I spoke like Charlie Brown’s teacher, he said, OK, pull around, and he got my original order right!

yeah, if the guy was smarter he would have gotten the people who customize the wrappers of chocolate bars for things like wedding favors to make a wrapper for his campaign. Giving away whole chocolate bars with his campaign ad on them- Now that would have gotten him votes.

I always liked the money myself ;) but then I lived in the boonies and most people didn’t bother getting any candy unless they wanted it. I got quaters, whole candy bars, and a can of Hawaiian Punch once.
.
Last year my 2 year old wanted to go out with his big sister, but since he didn’t need the candy I gave him one the donate to UNICEF boxes and he collected almost $14 to donate. His sister liked it so much she said she wanted to do that this year… yeah that didn’t last….

They deserve whatever vandalism and mayhem they receive from the little devils. It’s Halloween people. And that goes for houses passing out gospel tracts as wel. And I’m an evangelical Christian. Just stop. It’s for fun, it’s for the kids. They have enough time to be misrable as adults. Let them be kids.

I know a man that does not give out halloween candy. He gives out $1 bills. He says it is cheaper in the long run and the kids can buy the kind of candy they want.

I agree! I have the best memories of Halloween, and I’ve always been in a Christian family.
