    To each his/her own. Personally, I was overjoyed to them. The Lord of the Rings has been one of my favorite books of all time and for decades, I feared that neither the will nor the technology would ever exist to bring them to the screen with the loving treatment they deserved.

    I was thinking that he was going as Gandalf for some reason connected to the end of the world. I mean that’s a couple of days before “the big one”.

    Just one comment: don’t judge a book by its movie. Be it Clancy or Tolkien, Hollywood likes to “improve” the original author’s work.
