    having just finished Antigone in my english class, the gouging part of this comic forcefully reminds me that the Ancient Greeks seemed wayyy to fond of eye gouging.. shudder

    They weren’t the only ones…try the Philistines, Assyrians and Babylonians, just for starters…

    Basically, anywhere you went you could expect to get your eyes gouged out if you made someone powerful enough mad enough.
