I’m liking this better and better as it goes…:)

That’s another thing I always like about Bill Amend: the numbers (especially Jason’s math problems) are never the made-up random nonsense you find in some other comics.

ISBN number = International Standard Book Number number.

@tskoge - Yeah, I love redundancy, too. I use to have a list of those when I worked for the feds. Like “NSN number - National Stock Number number”.
Of course, it’s not the ISBN that we’d remember. We need the BOOK’S TITLE if you want us to buy it.

Don’t forget some other redundancies, such as:
MLB Baseball
NHL Hockey
DL List
NFL Football
and a lot more…
Craigor said, about 1 month ago
Well, these aren’t quite redundant (except for DL list [like ATM Machine])
The MLB Baseball is different then Minor League Baseball or Cape League Baseball.
Same for Hockey: Minor League Hockey, High School Hockey, College Hockey
Football: CFL (Canadian) Football, Arena Football
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MLB Baseball
NHL Hockey
DL List
NFL Football
no, I mean:
in MLB baseball, it’s reduntant because the B stands for baseball, so it’s saying baseball baseball.
in NHL hockey, the H stands for hockey, so the hockey is doubled.
in NFL football, the F stands for football, so the football is doubled.
I know there are different leagues, I was just commenting how their are repeated words in the names.
Craigor said, about 1 month ago
Right, nut MLB, NHL and NFL are trademarks and brand names for their respective leagues, which is why it is described as that.
