   @ RRAmom: Footballs nowaday are made out of leather hides. Years ago footballs were made with a Pig’s bladder In 1869 ( the year Intercollegiate football began) footballs were now made with vulcanized rubber bladders incased in leather

   Also there are members of the Jewish faith who played Football (In the NFL & the CFL {Canadian Fooball League}) including Lyle Alzado,Randy Grossman,Sid Luckman,Josh Miller & many others

   And Ryan Harris of the Denver Broncos is a devout Muslum as well as Sharmon Shaw (now Abdul -Karim al-Jabbar) & Ahmad Rashad.
