There are 10 types of people. Those who understand binary and those who don’t.

Cute one, Wolind Quark. 10 in binary or base 2 is 2. I know someone who didn’t understand how 1s and 0s could be interpreted to more than just two choices or values, until I explained that they’re allotted groups of eight, called bytes, which give you a lot more values (256).

It’s “terabyte”, and after that is petabyte. Just want everyone to have the same information…. Oh, and Quark, that joke is funny, but getting worn out.

The holiday period between Halloween and Christmas is especially hard on people who forget what number base they’re using because OCT 31=DEC 25.

Unfortunately, there are a significant number of vets who need more than a drink. That we think of them one day a year is not good enough – our society owes something to those who sacrifice years of their lives – sometimes their entire lives – to their country.

I, too, am a vet – but I’ve been lucky. Not all have been.

The standard in almost all of the world is to put the units of time in decreasing order, just as we write numbers. I still remember fondly that wonderful day, 2001-10-02, the first palindrome day since 1380-08-31.
There will never be another time like 1111-11-11 11:11:11, and I’ll bet nobody appreciated it at the time.

How remarkable that Jason had pointed out the significance of 11:11:11, and 11:11:12 concidering that by today’s date we are at 11-11-12.. That is November 11, 2012..

Take Note - I know that others much earlier contributed the same post at other variations, so I felt the urge to do the same.. Thank you
